The Restigouche River
The historic Restigouche River is renowned worldwide for its Salmon Fishing, but the river holds as much excitement for the canoeist, photographer or outdoor enthusiast. The brightly tinted maple leaves herald the approach of Autumn, one of the most beautiful times of year in the Restigouche region.

Sugarloaf Park
The whole family can enjoy this Year-round Activity Destination, a spectacular 3000-acre park carved out of unspoiled forest, approximately 3.2 km outside Campbellton. The summer attractions include the playground, campsite, paddle boats and tennis courts, the Alpine slide and plenty of spots for picnicking. Feeding areas where the whole family can feed the wild birds and squirrels, some will eat out of your hand. The Terry Fox Trail, a two-mile hike around the foot of the Sugarloaf Mountain, is popular with joggers. You can also climb to the top of the mountain to appreciate the beautiful panoramic view of the region.

Memorial Civic Center
Atlantic Canada's most complete Recreation and Convention facility. The complex is equipped to accommodate sporting events, entertainment, commercial functions and trade shows on a local, regional, provincial or national level. The Memorial Civic Center is designed to host Olympic competitions, provide training facilities for Canada's national teams and promote recreational and sporting opportunities for all age groups.

The Trails...
The Restigouche Trail is part of the Sentier NB Trail, a 2000 km all-season, shared-use recreational trail connecting communities throughout the Province. The trail follows the Restigouche River near streams, fields and forests. In Atholville, there is the Margaret Doyle Lookout, great for bird watching. The trail connects with the Trans-Canada Trail, a national trail connecting East to West. It is a multi-purpose trail used for walking, cycling, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.

The International Appalachian Trail connects the high points in Maine (Mount Katahdin), New Brunswick (Mount Carleton) and the Gaspé Peninsula (Mount Jaques Cartier). Access points are: The Eco-Restigouche Center in Kedgwick and Glenwood Park, the first Provincial Park in New Brunswick.

Waterfront
Experience the beauty of the Campbellton Waterfront and Salmon Plaza, where you will find Restigouche Sam, an 8.5 meter stainless steel model of the region's famous fish.

Restigouche Gallery
Working with people of the 3 cultures, the Restigouche Gallery highlights exposition themes in fine arts, natural sciences, history and technology from local, regional, national and international sources. Concerts, workshops, conferences, lectures and films are also offered. Visit our Athol House Museum and the Gallery Boutique where you'll find arts and crafts from regional artisans as well as a regional gift shop. Ads in local media will inform you of our activities. Come and celebrate Acadian Days August 14 and 15.

Reptile Ocean
Reptile Ocean Inc. is the only reptile zoo in the Maritimes. You'll see a variety of reptiles, including alligators, snakes, turtles and lizards - a unique blend of science and entertainment. Battle of Restigouche National Historic Site
Discover impressive timbers from the actual ship, the Machault. A splendid collection of artifacts on display, retrieved from the wreck by archaeologists. Explore the highlights of the battle with the audio-visual re-enactment. Visualize the site of the battle, from observation decks. Relive the life of an 18th-century sailor during this key period in the history of the French Regime: A voyage back in time.The historic site is located West of Pointe-à-la-Croix along Route 132 in Gaspésie. Season: from June 1 until October 8, seven days a week from 9 am to 5 pm.

Mountain Brooks Stables

Chaleur Phantom
A sea trip aboard the Chaleur Phantom is one of the area's most popular commercial attractions. The cruise ship will take you to Heron Island, the Bon Ami Rocks and Miguasha, Quebec. Nature cruises are also offered.

Restigouche Regional Museum
The Restigouche Regional Museum houses historical treasures and crafts from the area. The museum provides a history of the area, depicting the lives of the early settlers, our first railways as well as with the industrial and geological story of Restigouche. Also featured is a boutique where New Brunswick crafts are permanently displayed.

Eel River Bar
Just minutes away from Campbellton is the Chaleur beach, located between Eel River Bar First Nation and Charlo, one of the longest natural sandbars in the world, straddled by freshwater on one side and salt water on the other. The beach is supervised and lots of activities are there for you to enjoy!

Heron Island
The emerald of the Bay of Chaleur has taken its rightful place on Mother Earth as a protected showcase where Nature's best can be observed close at hand. On the Island are the ancient encampment and burial grounds of the Gaspesian Mi'gmaq and an early Scottish settlement.

Tide Head Beach
Take a swim in the unsupervised, fresh waters of Tide Head Beach, also a great place to launch your canoe.

Fun Wheel Go Karts
Spend an afternoon at Fun Wheel Go Karts, only 1km from Chaleur Park and the beach. There are 10 Go Karts and a 1/4 mile track, as well as a games room, restaurant, picnic tables and mini putt.

Paramount Theater
Sit down comfortably, relax, and watch a movie in an old style Theater with Dolby Sound and Cinema "672 seats". Popcorn, pop and candy will surely set off your evening!
